What is an unrewarded good girl?

Have you ever thought something like this?
Why am I not getting any recognition despite working so hard?
Why is it always me who ends up losing out? I envy people who can handle things better.
And then he immediately denies it.
"If I just put up with it, everything will be resolved smoothly." "If I try harder, I'm sure they'll understand."
—That's the "unrewarded good girl" trope.
*
A good girl isn't a bad person. Quite the opposite, in fact. She's someone who is more serious, more considerate, and more hardworking than anyone else.
However, that effort is not "for oneself," but rather "to avoid being disliked" or "to avoid causing trouble."
That's why, no matter how hard I try, I'm never truly satisfied. Even when I'm recognized, I feel empty inside.
My heart keeps whispering, "This isn't it."

I myself was like that for a long time.
I tried my best to force a smile, endure hardships, and act like a good girl. As a result, I completely lost track of what I liked, what hurt me, and what I wanted to cherish.
Graduating from being a good girl doesn't mean becoming selfish or self-centered.
"Listen to your own feelings."
That's the most important thing.
But this is very difficult for us who have been good girls for so many years.

I'll be talking about things like that a lot in this column from now on.
If you feel like you might be an unrewarded good girl, please take your time and read on.
